(2017, June) On Wednesday, June 21, after the Great Parade of the Folk Groups, at 20.30 on the Promenade from Piazza Fermi to Piazza dei Pini, at 9.00 pm Silvi will return to be the stage of international folklore with the 20^th edition of the International Festival of Pentecoste, organized by the Cultural Association "Città di Silvi" with the patronage and contribution of the City of Silvi, the patronage of the FITP (Italian Federation of Popular Traditions, present at our festival with Benito Ripoli, the Italian President) and the technical / Organizer of the Blue Diamond Events in Belgrade, who has taken care of the contacts and the choice of the five foreign groups.

2016-pentec-1 (June 25^th, 2016) The International Folklore Festival of Pentecost 2016, one of the oldest and most important in Europe, was a great celebration of colors, dances, songs, sounds and, most of emotions that even I'm used to organize and assist in many international festivals and European Reviews of folklore, I had never experienced until now.

The rain and regret for not being able to experience the event according to the definite program for the bad weather, have passed into the background in front of a sight so beautiful, harmonious and engaging.

When Dr. Franco Costantini, the organizer of the Festival together with his association "City of Silvi", has asked me to write "two lines" on the festival Silvi, I gladly accepted the invitation. Reaching the milestone of 19 consecutive editions for an event of this magnitude is not a small thing and proves, without a doubt, that behind all this there is love, passion, sacrifice and desire to do something good for their city, despite the low participation of public administrators. 2016-pentec-2
I take care of the contact groups to invite them to participate in the Silvi Marina Festival (as I do for many other festivals in every part of Europe), so I can testify that when I mention the Silvi Marina Pentecost Festival always find a lot of enthusiasm in the environments of the international Folklore and Folk best groups compete to be present. There are some who would like to come back every year! This year, just as an example, there was the group that represented the Croatia who wanted to come back, even though he had participated in this Festival eight years ago to the 11th edition. But the magnitude, only, of the Silvi Marina Festival is to be able to create among all groups, even among those from nations not really "friends" with each other, the extraordinary relations of brotherhood and friendship, thanks, perhaps, also the friendly welcome they are here and the beauty of the natural environment. 2016-pentec-3 The Mayor of Silvi, before the award ceremony together alderman Maria Grazia Marinelli, had with the beautiful words in mind sincerity towards my friend Franco Costantini that if deserves for all his dedication and for the organization of the Festival that takes every year several months of work!
I also take this opportunity to thank Franco, the "City of Silvi" Association, the Choral Folk "Padre Giovanni Lerario "and Silvi Marina for the warm welcome they reserve every year me and my colleagues in the Blue Diamond Events, certain that this beautiful partnership will continue for many years!

WE ARRIVED AT THE 19^th EDITION
Seven nations represented by the Folk Groups participants

(May 24^th, 2016) The 19^th edition of the Pentecost International Folklore Festival will be held on the 19^th and the 20^th June in the magnificent scenery of beach area "Piazza dei Pini" in Silvi Marina (Italy). The festival was organized as usual by the Cultural Association "City of Silvi", it is now defined in detail. Participants folk groups will be 7 and will feature, in addition to Italy, Turkey, Poland, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Hungary and Lithuania. The groups will open the Festival on the afternoon of Sunday, June the 19^th with a big parade on the promenade where groups perform songs, sounds and dances.

ELEVEN GROUPS PARTICIPANTS OF 7 NATIONS

(2015, June the 14^th) Our folk group "Giovanni Lerario Lerario" with the International Folklore Festival, held in Silvi Marina on 15 and 16 June, celebrated in the best way a double anniversary: 25 years of activity and the achievement of the ... age of the Festival, now in its 18th edition ! Eleven groups participants, of whom as many as 10 foreigners from Turkey, Hungary, Lithuania, Poland, Czech Republic and Romania have offered, in the magnificent scenery of Piazza Marconi, to a large and attentive, a show of absolute value for both folk songs, which sounds with ancient instruments, the overwhelming and magnificent dances and precious costumes worn by groups.

INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF PENTECOSTE 2014

Three foreign groups that will participate along with Molisan group of “Toma Toma”

(2014, May the 22^th) The International Folklore Festival of Pentecoste, organized in consultation with the Blue Diamond Events in Belgrade, cuts this year the goal of the seventeenth edition. One issue in which there will be three foreign groups and, in addition to our choir, the group Folk Molise "The Toma Toma" directed by prof. Angelo M. Primianus. The foreign groups come from: Turkey ("GOP Necla Ilhan Ipekci Ortaokulu") that comes from Ankara; from Poland ("Dance and Song Ensemble Sierakowice") and Lithuania ("Marijampole ZIBINYCIA's Folk Group"). As it is tradition, groups that have traveled the world participating in the International Folklore Festival and exhibitions where they presented their ancient dances and folk songs, accompanied by traditional instruments.

2014 Zibinicya The International Festival of Pentecost is now an eagerly awaited and prepared with great passion and energy expenditure from our Cultural Association "City of Silvi", which, among other things, this year celebrates its... "silver wedding" 25 years of uninterrupted activity in Italy and abroad where he got , among other things, significant awards including recall with emotion and pride in Prague won third place in a world of competition where participating choral ensemble of all continents. Budapest, Vienna, Monaco, Munich, Barcelona, Wolfsberg, Prague, Pisek, Memmingen... and many, many other cities in Europe and in Italy where our choral "PG Lerario", which is also the parish choir of Church of Santa Maria Assunta , has proudly carried the name , history and folk traditions silvarole and Abruzzo in general. as we go to press we do not know yet if this year we will have the availability of a public square and the use of the municipal stage... that will hurt, our pastor, Father Maximilian has assured us that it is fully as has happened in the last two editions were held on the square in front of the beautiful church of the Assumption. 2014 turchia We are, however, confident in understanding and helping the Prefectural Commissioner. You know, the culture is accustomed to this kind of vicissitudes, especially here in Silvi where, among the many things that are missing, there is a theater. Hopefully the next city administration to take charge of this absurd lack that makes us, probably, the last in the Abruzzo region in terms of public facilities dedicated to culture and social in general. Sure, sometimes I'm amazed when I think that with all the absurd and immense flow of cement with which it has been raping this unique and beautiful piece of land and the beach there was ever the like, neither the time nor the money to build a small theater or, if you will, a simple multi-purpose hall that can accommodate dignity despite the many events that the various local associations organized with so much love and as much professionalism !

A BOOMERANG FOR VALLESCURA

(2012, June) Our unwary municipal administrators have attempted to block the International Festival of Pentecost trying everything and more. The Cultural Association "City of Silvi" and his Choral "PG Lerario" and other cultural associations of Silvi were literally taken for a ride by the crew that shabby mal-rules the city. After five months of the submission of the draft of the festival, we wanted the new commissioner Cichella to keep in bell for over a month, between meetings and phone calls, to get to this day the course of the Festival without even bringing the measure in Committee that, at least, would have to take place for carrying out the event.

(2012, June) It took place the International Festival of Pentecost, the 15^th edition, sponsored since its first edition from FITP. Made by the folk group "P.G. Lerario" through its cultural association "City of Silvi "with the support and contribution of the Presidency of the Regional Council of Abruzzo, had an overwhelming success so that the insiders and the public have unanimously decreed that it was the best Whitsun Festival in absolute fifteen performed so far.

(2012, June) A festival with all the trimmings that has honored in full the high patronage of the President of the Regional Council of Abruzzo. Two evenings for framing and writing in the history of the beautiful things of Silvi. The unanimous consensus of the five groups foreign participants who have defined our International Festival of Pentecost "one of the best in Europe" for the organization, showmanship, hospitality and scenery. This recognition has a significant importance since it comes from folk groups who for years have involved the most famous Folk Festival and exhibitions in Europe, by a national organization, the FITP (Italian Federation of Popular Traditions) and by an agency of the European level, the Blue Diamond Events in Belgrade, who took care of the contacts with the groups to be invited to our Festival.
