“P. G. Lerario” Choral folk
A BEAUTIFUL REALITY THAT CONTINUES FOR 25 YEARS
(2015, june the 5th) Another significant success of our Choral Folk "P. G. Lerario" to the regional competition of singing folk held in Pescara on the 23th May at the Auditorium "Cerulli". At the event, "All in unison to save the children", organized for charity by Daniela Gigante extremely dynamic in favor of the Gaslini in Genoa and its scientific research on neuroblastoma, they were attended by 11 folk polyphonic choral groups of all provinces d'Abruzzo, each of which has also contributed positively to raising money.
The jury, composed of experts in the authentic folk song, has ranked our Choral the 2nd place just behind the famous choral "Gran Sasso" from L'Aquila, connected with the Conservatory. Our choir presented two pieces of high caliber music and absolute value folk/traditional: The Lament of the widow of an unknown artist of the seventeenth century. and The Song of emigrant L. De Carolis - F. Costantini, whose solo parts were well interpreted respectively by Rosanna Luzi and Ernesto Marinelli. The Choral "P.G. Lerario", therefore, remained among the most appreciated in view of the singing folk/traditional in our region and a worthy representative of our city in Abruzzo, in Italy and abroad.
