The choir trip

THE CHARM OF THE "EVERLASTING" CITY

A Sunday to remember and an experience to be repeated

2013 gita Roma(2014, May the 22thSunday, May the 4th, free to accompany the songs with the evening Mass , the Chorale "P.G. Lerario" took the opportunity to take a trip to Rome to visit the tombs of the two saints neo popes John XXIII and John Paul II. Our group were joined by other people with whom we spent an unforgettable day. Bright sunshine, but not too hot, accompanied our long wanderings in the eternal city where we have, in essence, traveled almost all over the heart of the capital . We also had the good fortune of having a Cicero absolute sympathy and Culture: Fr Maurizio who greeted us from early morning to the parking lot on the Janiculum to take us to where we visited St. Peter's Basilica and prayed before the tombs of two popes new saints.

The morning we ended at the Basilica of SS. Apostles , the seat of the General Curia of the Friars Conventual Franciscans, where now our former parish priest performs his new ministry, with a solemn Mass sung by the choir with organ accompaniment to the great Prof. Giamila Berre. In truth, we had some fear of the choir because of absences quite substantial and... heavy. Missing, in fact , for various reasons, all of the solo and the solo. But with a director like ours, do not worry: the soloist he has done; Not only that, but, incredibly , sung with a clear voice, ringing enjoying some success among the faithful, and even among the singers!... Lunch in the great hall of the convent on which construction has contributed even Michelangelo Buonarroti. After the lunch, we exchanged a brotherly foodstuffs of various kinds, P. Maurice has guided us for a nice visit to the center of Rome, crowded, as usual tourists. Piazza Navona, Piazza Venezia, Via del Corso, the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, the Senate and the House (in addition to all the churches along the way I can not remember the name ), etc. ... In the end we were a bit ' tired but happy that beautiful day... In short, "it has to be repeated".
