THE “LERARIO” CONQUERS FANO

At the national meeting "Italy and the Regions" scoops in consensus

(Oct 15th, 2011) The choral group "P. G. Lerario"grossed another significant success at the annual National Gathering "Italy and the Regions" of the folk groups belonging to the FITP, held days 9,10 and 11 September in Fano in the Marche. About forty groups from all regions of Italy and the islands offered the large audience, which followed the three evenings the Amphitheater of the Sea of town in the Marche, a unique, memorable and full of emotions. Sounds, dances and traditional folk songs, Italian regional expressions of different cultures, have aroused enthusiasm and participation in the many foreign tourists still present in Fano. The choir silvarola was the queen in its category (folk singing in polyphony), although in reduced training for the absence of some singers.

His performance after the first song, was accompanied by applause even during the performance. For the large presence of the groups were given 10 minutes to each. Well the five songs, taken strictly drawn from the traditional repertoire of ancient Abruzzo, presented by "Lerario" were enough to win admiration, applause and acclaim. The accordion, in the absence of M° Rocco Ronca engaged elsewhere, brilliantly accompanied the young musician Giordano D'Eustacchio who has completed his brilliant performance with the performance of instrumental songs popular with the accordion Abruzzo during the parade of the groups Sunday morning the streets of Fano. At the choral silvarola was also assigned the task of accompanying the hymns with the solemn Eucharistic liturgy on Sunday morning in the Basilica of St. Paterniano, the patron saint of Fano, held by the Capuchin Fathers, which was attended by the city authorities and all groups traditional costume. At the end of Mass, the priest, the national president FITP, Benito Ripoli, the regional president FITP Brands and the Councillor for Culture of the City of Fano on behalf of all participating groups and local public institutions have publicly thanked the Director Franco Costantini, the organist and choral Giamila Berre's "unparalleled service and engaging liturgical accompaniment of Mass with chants d'Autore (Mozart, Handel, Bach and Berthier) who helped the congregation to live with spiritual intensity the Eucharistic rite". In Fano, as in all the cities of Italy and Europe in which year the choir participates at his own expense to the various festivals, international contests and exhibitions, the Chorale "Lerario" he proudly held up the name of our city. Would not it be, then, the case that local institutions (municipality, province) and credit institutions - which have always finance cultural activities and promotion of the territory - would take into account the opportunity to support such initiatives? The choir, for example, would need to adopt a new costume, rigorously constructed on the basis of the clothes worn in our area in the 700 / 800. It would 4/5.000 euro, but who got them from? We are, in truth, rather perplexing in this regard if we think that a good part of the local government has attempted to block even the sharing of the City to finance the Festival of Pentecost, too, had come to the 14th edition!
