THE “P.G. LERARIO” CHOIR PRIDE FOR SILVI
Professionalism, commitment and seriousness the secret of his great success
(Nov 6th, 2010) At the end of the year activity (the activity starts with the official Christmas) of our Cultural Association "City of Silvi" we made a statement of activities and we have noted with pleasure that the results this year have awarded the commitment and efforts of all the members and highlighted the great and recognized professionalism of our director. Since January, our Choral "P. G. Lerario" has carried out activities in different cities with concerts of Christmas music where songs were performed by medieval and modern authors. We then dedicated to the organization of the International Festival of Pentecost, now in its 13th edition.
As usual, it was a great success both for the quality expressed by the participants in both groups for the excellent organization that we studied in detail. Our Festival was reported in the journal "Folklore" with articles and photos of the event that is included in the official calendar of the International Folklore world. The validity and quality of the event have been personally certified by the National President of the FITP (Italian Federation of Popular Traditions) dr. Benito Ripoli, present at the Festival. In June, we were on tour in Hungary, at the invitation of the Mayor of Konyar, the city where we held two concerts of Abruzzo folk songs, accompanied on accordion by M ° Rocco Ronca, fresh graduate of the prestigious Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome. In the summer we attended the Festival of Folklore of the City of Vasto where we have had tremendous success with the song " The lament of a widow , from their song of Vasto, played masterfully by our soprano Anita out accompanied by the Choir. We have not had the pleasure and honor to play a concert in Silvi during the summer. Nemo propheta at home? I am sure that next year we'll make. As I'm sure readers know, in addition to our folklore Choir performs in concerts of polyphonic singing a cappella and with organ accompaniment or orchestra. We carry out the liturgical service accompanying the SS. Sunday Masses (the afternoon) and those of the great solemnity. Here, too, we are proud to have with us a great professional Giamila Berre Professor, Professor of Organ at the Conservatory in Monopoli (BA). But special recognition goes, undoubtedly, our director, Franco Costantini that, in addition to being the author of many folk songs and sacred succeeds admirably each time to transform from amateur choral singers of high quality. I want to take the opportunity of this presence of Silvi 15 to make an earnest appeal to those who are " in tune " Come with us, come into our big family, come and be part of the choir, people of all ages. You will be certainly good and live an exhilarating and exciting. We have a seat at the Convent of the Assumption and we meet for rehearsals on Thursday and Friday evenings at 21.15. We are waiting for you.
