Large crowd, amazing music, a great success.
(Jan 12th, 2008) Last December was a great musical month that ended on January the 3rd. Before the Orchestra and Chorus of the Maruccino, then the State Orchestra of Bulgaria and, last but not least, the great State Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia gave an added value to the Christmas holidays. The concert seasons of the Parish of Santa Maria Assunta are therefore confirmed as the musical and cultural events that attract significant in our city too many people of the neighboring towns.
After the disappointing approaches of the early years , in fact, there has been a steady and significant increase in public since he's interested in listening to the classical music. The credit goes mainly to the Fathers of the Parish and the Cultural Association "City of Silvi " who engage in organizing events with dignity and , above all, to seek funding. Obviously, the latter must thank the City of Silvi that, through the Departments of Culture and Tourism and in particular thanks to the personal commitment of the mayor Vallescura, despite the difficult situation that the local authorities are experiencing , ensures the most contributions . In this circumstance, then, must also thank the Province of Teramo and the President of the Regional Council of Abruzzo, respectively. It was interesting three concerts held in a real crescendo: the Orchestra and Chorus of Chieti masterfully directed by Maestro Desderi , the State Philharmonic of Bulgaria directed by the talented and famous Natalya Gonchak ( who held the official concert End of the Year, also accompanying the Chorale "PG Lerario" Silvi in the magnificent and solemn hymn of thanksgiving " Te Deum Laudamus " composed by its director Franco Costantini ) and, finally, the great Russian State Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Maestro Giuseppe Piccinino literally has galvanized the audience that, with the insistent applause, he forced the Philharmonic in three "bis" ! .. There was so many people , it is true . But I believe that such events deserve even more. For this reason, the next appointments (funding permitting) we'll be in really lot. Happy 2008 to everyone.
