LA CORALE "P. G. LERARIO"

Formed in 1991 at the Parish of Santa Maria Assunta, where it has its head office, the Chorale "P. G. Lerario" has always maintained, over the years , the dual activity of choral classical and folk group Abruzzo .

This dual commitment does not seem irreverent, indeed the two forms of music have always complemented each other thanks to  the same technique: the polyphony. The popular song from Abruzzo, for his extraordinary musicality lends itself, in fact, for processing voice of many voices that, far from deterioration characteristics , enhances the typical wonderfully melodic . This was also the result of an intense research before historical sources / popular to identify the authenticity of the songs , and then the possibility of harmonization as polyphonic melodic lines without changing neither those nor the trend provide balance. From the results obtained in all of Europe, we can say that the Chorale "P. G. Lerario" has succeeded in combining the two needs. A decisive role was played by its director, Franco Costantini, who has reworked all the songs. Notable successes achieved by the Choir in Vienna, Budapest, Prague, Barcelona, ​​Brussels, Genk, Oberwart and other places where it has participated in exhibitions and Folklore Festival is a purely those of polyphony.

The choir soul the solemn celebrations of the parish of Assunta great festivals and Sunday (afternoon Mass 18.00) and, upon request, even of religious marriages.
